A taste of Nepal in Southport
Royal Himalayas on Eastbank Street opened earlier this year and we recently paid them a visit to try their Nepalese cuisine.
The restaurant is decorated with images of the Himalayan mountains of Nepal, where its dishes derived from and this adds to the experience of dining there.
We were treated with poppadoms and dips whilst we waited for our starters. First up was the King Prawn Jhhir and Jhhir Kebab which were both delicious and full of flavour. Next, we shared the chicken lollipops which we’d never seen anywhere before! These are small, crispy chicken wings on the bone shaped to look like lollipops!
For main we shared a chicken biriyani as the portion sizes are very generous! Biriyani is our go-to curry and this was easily up there with our favourites in Southport. We mopped it up with garlic naan which was equally amazing!
Our experience at Royal Himalayan was faultless, their staff couldn’t have been more helpful and the food was incredible.
If you’re planning to visit, you can get 15% off food on weekdays (and collection Tuesday-Sunday) and children under 12 eat free on Sundays until the end of October! They’re also open for delivery via Just Eat, Deliveroo and Uber Eats.
